Age Calculator

Age is typically calculated as the difference between your date of birth and today's date, measured in complete calendar years. This is the "birthday rule": you gain a year of age on the anniversary of your birth date, not at the start of each calendar year.

This calculator shows your age in multiple units simultaneously:

• By age 30 you've lived approximately 10,957 days — or about 262,980 hours.
• A leap year baby (born Feb 29) officially celebrates their birthday every four years, but legally ages each year.
• In some East Asian cultures, age is counted from conception (Korean age), making you 1 at birth and adding a year each calendar New Year.
• The oldest verified person in history was Jeanne Calment of France, who lived to 122 years and 164 days.

Our calculator uses your browser's built-in date arithmetic, which handles all calendar edge cases including leap years automatically.
